Terms of Service
The J Lee Foundation for the Sciences & Technology (referred to herein as the “Foundation”) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to offering and promoting financial assistance to aspiring students pursuing college degrees. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors, who serve without compensation and contribute their time solely as volunteers in support of the Foundation’s mission.
The Foundation may organize and promote fundraising events and initiatives to strengthen its endowment and expand scholarship opportunities. Participation in any Foundation event — including but not limited to fundraisers, volunteer efforts, and community outreach — is strictly voluntary and does not entitle any participant to compensation or reward beyond the personal satisfaction of supporting students on their path to higher education.
Use of Likeness, Media & Testimonials
By participating in any Foundation event, scholarship program, or affiliated activity, you grant the Foundation the unrestricted right to capture, use, reproduce, and publish photographs, video, audio recordings, written testimonials, and other media featuring your likeness or voice. This material may be used in the Foundation’s marketing, promotional, or educational efforts across all platforms, including but not limited to print, digital, social media, and video.
You understand and agree that all such media may be used in a respectful, responsible, and positive manner to promote the mission of the Foundation. No compensation will be provided for the use of this content, and you waive any rights to inspect or approve the finished product or its use.
Donation & Tax Disclaimer
The J Lee Foundation for the Sciences & Technology is a valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization under U.S. Internal Revenue Service guidelines. Donations and contributions made to the Foundation are generally tax-deductible. However, it is the responsibility of each donor or participant to properly document and account for their contribution in accordance with IRS regulations. The Foundation will provide appropriate receipts or confirmation letters for qualifying donations upon request.
By engaging with the Foundation in any way — as a donor, event attendee, scholarship applicant, or volunteer — you agree to the terms outlined above.
